Tom Leonidas to Present at 2015 DPRCG Loss Prevention Convocation

Wood Harbinger President/CEO Tom Leonidas, PE, MBA, will be presenting at the 2015 Design Professionals Risk Control Group (DPRCG) Loss Prevention Convocation, to be held October 21-23 in Phoenix, AZ.

Tom’s presentation, “An Open Mind to New Service Offerings,” explores how a firm can promote growth through diversification of markets and revenue streams by taking measured risks of experimentation with potential new service offerings that create niche markets.

Read the presentation abstract below:

We face a dynamic and competitive industry, where we must distinguish ourselves in the marketplace not only to thrive, but to survive. Growth through diversification of markets and revenue streams involves taking risks of experimentation with potential new service offerings that create niche markets. An open mind to envision new possibilities is the first step.

Hear from a peer whose firm embarked on a path of employee engagement and innovation that resulted in a pilot project with the potential of increased revenues/profits, stronger relationships with owners, and new business opportunities. In this breakout, you will learn how the firm is changing the mindset of how they can use their skills, and the processes they use to explore and test new services.

As part of this session, audience members will participate in small group discussions aimed at collaboration and generation of new ideas and share how they might apply these processes in their own firms.

About DPRCG

Large architectural and engineering firms face special risks. The Design Professionals Risk Control Group (DPRCG) is an exclusive risk management group that helps mitigate those risks with custom designed insurance and loss prevention programs.

Founded in 1988, DPRCG’s members include some of the most recognized names in the design industry. The objective is simple: to improve practice and risk management by sharing information, ideas and advice. DPRCG members also have the opportunity to collaborate with other members and develop new programs and initiatives to keep the group ahead of industry trends.
