Sammamish High School Wins at 2018 LEsolutions Awards

Congratulations to Bellevue School District and Integrus Architecture on winning the Project of Distinction Award for Sammamish High School at the 2018 Associate for Learning Environments’ (A4LE) LEsolutions Awards.

Sammamish High SchoolWood Harbinger provided electrical engineering for the project, including power distribution, lighting, telecommunications, classroom audio visual, and security. At 330,000 SF, Sammamish High School encompasses three floors, 72 classrooms, provides flexible learning space, and can accommodate up to 2,200 students. The building design incorporates multiple science studios with individual sinks for break-out sessions, and a large prep room for collaborative work. Ground-floor engineering and production rooms further support the science, math, engineering, and technology disciplines.

The third floor design incorporates art and science studios and features high ceilings. Students have access to five kilns, glass blowing and pottery stations, an art gallery and display space. The floor also houses two video production rooms with a sound control room and recording equipment. Many students are active in theater/dramatic arts, designing and building sets or taking the stage in the 18,000 SF Performing Arts Center, the high school’s only remaining original structure.
