Wood Harbinger provided enhanced commissioning services.

Wood Harbinger’s commissioning team provided Enhanced Commissioning services for this project. The Ocean Engineering Support Facility project consists of renovating a warehouse floor into office space, including Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) and non-SCIF areas, break areas, restrooms, and data rooms. Ten new rooftop heat pumps were installed to serve this 22,700 SF tenant improvement. Heat pump control was integrated into the base-wide controls network. Commissioning deliverables were provided on tight deadlines to meet the owner’s schedule.

Wood Harbinger developed and executed pre-functional checklists to document the equipment installation, and we developed functional performance tests to observe the equipment function under controlled conditions. Direct Digital Control (DDC) system trending was used to document the automatic operation of the installed equipment and to substantiate the building flush for indoor air quality. Wood Harbinger also wrote a Systems Manual to assist the owner in operating and maintaining the new equipment.

The Support Facility was awarded LEED Certification.
