This three-rink facility is the new home of the Seattle Kraken and a lively community destination for adult and youth hockey, skating lessons, and public skating. The main practice rink has seating for 1,000 with a 400-seat capacity for each of the other two rinks. The facility also includes the 32 Bar and Grill restaurant and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health clinic.

We provided mechanical engineering services for this 293,000-SF, two-story facility that required a strict temperature and humidity control range to maintain the unique environment of the ice arena. Our mechanical design featured a packaged rooftop DX air handling unit to successfully achieve this strict range.

In it's first year open, the Kraken Community Iceplex welcomed more than one million visitors.
