Construction will start in early August on a 42,000-square-foot medical office building at 907 Georgiana St. on Olympic Medical Center’s campus in Port Angeles.

Architect Rice Fergus Miller designed the two-story building, which is expected to open in fall 2016. The new building will have clinics that are now housed in four buildings on campus, including some specialty services now offered by OMC in Port Angeles, primary care and a walk-in clinic.

Eric Lewis, OMC’s chief executive officer, said the center has evolved from a traditional hospital into a provider of primary care and specialty outpatient services.

“In accommodating the growth in outpatient services and physician clinics in Port Angeles, we’ve run out of space,” he said. “This new medical office building is key to our future.”
