Wood Harbinger Presenting at Electric League Commissioning Workshop

Are you a facilities operator or manager, owner’s rep, engineer, architect, contractor, subcontractor, testing and balancing technician, or a commissioning provider looking to learn more about your role in the modern project commissioning process? This commissioning workshop is for you! The Electric League of the Pacific Northwest is hosting a Building Commissioning Workshop on December 5, 2018. Wood Harbinger’s Shaun May, P.E., CEM, will be presenting along with David Sellers, P.E., of Facility Dynamics Engineering. Check out the event synopsis below and register for the event here!

Commissioning has evolved over the last 20 years from an HVAC system start-up and testing process to a whole building quality assurance/quality control exercise. It’s also required by the current Washington State energy code.

As the commissioning service evolves, so does the way commissioning providers apply the process, as well as who is involved in it. To be truly successful and for the benefits to persist, the process must not only integrate the systems and equipment serving the facility, It also needs to integrate all of the players involved with the conception, design, construction, operation and day to day use of the facility.

Join us for an interactive, one-day commissioning workshop that will cover all aspects of the commissioning process from project start to finish. Through a variety of group activities and in-depth scenarios hosted by boots-on-the-ground commissioning professionals, attendees will be immersed in the commissioning process, learning more about commissioning team roles and responsibilities, major commissioning milestones, what to look for during testing and troubleshooting, and the transition from project to ongoing operations.

Attendees will gain valuable practical insight on skills, strategies, and communication and documentation protocols essential to applying the process on “real world” projects.

When: Wednesday, December 5, 8AM – 5PM

Where: The Conference Center at 929 108th Ave NE, Bellevue

Cost: $325 for Electric League members / $400 for potential members
