Wood Harbinger, as Prime A/E for the project, provided fully designed drawings and specifications
to construct a new Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Facility encompassing state-of-the-art
treatment systems for hexavalent chromium, cyanide, heavy metal, oily wastewater, and
chelated and acid/alkaline cleaning wastewaters. Our final design used chemical precipitation,
ceramic crossflow microfiltration, and other technologies for treating metal plating wastewaters.
As a preliminary task to the final design, a Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACD)
was provided. The FACD included programming, analysis, concept evaluation of the proposed technologies to
treat the waste streams, a preliminary Risk Assessment Code, and cost estimate for the government to use
in selecting the technologies to be employed.
