Wood Harbinger facilitated discussions with the Edmonds School District Facilities and Maintenance
staff to develop design standards for all mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire
protection, DDC system, balancing and testing, and commissioning. Based on these discussions,
we wrote the Uniform Design Standards manual for all of Division 20, 21, 22, and 23 work (approximately 100 pages).
After five years of using the standards, we reconvened with the ESD staff to critique the standards,
apply lessons learned, and update the manual.
