Wood Harbinger provided the mechanical engineering, design, commissioning services, and
construction administration for this new 225,000 SF school. We were also the School
District's mechanical Commissioning Agent.
The school features learning clusters that include 4 adaptable classrooms, a
laboratory, conference rooms, and a teacher support space organized around a central flex
area. The project also includes a library-media center, great hall, theater, triple
gymnasium with seating for 2,000, dance studio, weight room, dark room, art studios,
video production studio, and green room.
The project received the James MacConnell Award from the CEFPI (Council of Educational
Facility Planners International) which is awarded to the “best-planned school
in the country.” It also received the 2000 Award of Merit from the Northwest &
Pacific Region of the American Institute of Architects.
