Wood Harbinger provided electrical engineering services to replace two physically separate portions
of the American Lake Campus primary electrical system.
Phase I replaced the existing primary electrical switchgear serving the total complex.
Phase II studied the primary and emergency power distribution systems. Based on the study, we
developed recommendations for the panels in Buildings 2 and 81 and recommended installation of
an emergency power source with associated automatic switchgear for life safety branch circuitry
for Buildings 4, 5, 6, and 7.
The project included a design for a new underground 15 kV primary electrical power feed
from the Lakewood substation that coordinates with potential new generation for load shedding capabilities.
