The South Terminal Expansion project enabled the Port of Seattle to meet its growing passenger
load while strengthening safety and enhancing the passenger experience.

Addressing the unique architectural design and increased security requirements post 9/11;

Seamlessly integrating new mechanical and electrical systems with existing systems to support uninterrupted operation of the airport;

Innovatively designing a state-of-the-art smoke control system for the unique layout of the South Hall;

Designing cost-effective solutions such as the re-use of ventilation air to heat the baggage handling area; and
-
Designing 100% redundant mechanical and electrical utility systems for the Combined Communications and Command Center.
