Wood Harbinger provided engineering and construction period services to replace and upgrade the primary, secondary, and emergency power distribution system for Building 81 at the American Lake Campus of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. As prime A/E, Wood Harbinger provided electrical and mechanical engineering design and added sub-consultants to supplement the team:
- Hazardous Materials;
- Architectural;
- Civil; and
- Structural Design.
We initially studied the primary, secondary, and emergency power campus and building distribution systems serving Building 81, (the Ambulatory Care Building). Based on the study results, we designed a new electrical distribution and riser panel system. The scope of work included replacing the distribution systems with normal, critical, and life safety separation of services.
